Illustration

The word illustration comes from the latin word illustra’tio, illu’stro meaning enlighten, irradiate. It can do just that when used in the right context.

We are passionate about both traditional and more contemporary forms of illustration. It depends very much on the aim or use of the illustration and what part it might play in the wider project.

For example the vibrant, high impact form of a digital illustration might have more impact and generate more excitement while something like a watercolour painting will have a warmth and relaxing quality for the audience.

Book Design

With love, Delia: Letters to an Irish grandmother, written by Delia Bradshaw needed an engaging and relevant cover.

We photographed one of Delia’s most prized family heirlooms and then used the handwritten sign off of Delia’s for the title. She also needed a number of maps to clearly indicate the movements of her grandmother before and after her immigration to Australia.
